Writing Keyword Rich Text
As any successful website owner will know there is much more to achieving a profitable website than just uploading a few photos and text. One can’t just copy and paste the text from a printed brochure and put it on the webiste and expect the same good results. Writing for the web is different.
If you are to be successful online your content needs to be written in such a way that the text you are writing is maximised and keyword rich.
Writing keyword rich text means inserting the words that people search with into your text. You want people to find what you are offering so you need to have the text they are using to search for (called a query) in the content and in special locations.
Keyword Rich Text Advice
For example: this website has been keyword researched and hence targeted to the phrase “Melbourne Website Designers”. This phrase can be found in a few important places on any page of this website. Have a look around to see where I have positioned my 3 keywords.
Notice that I didn’t fill the page with continual (over-use) of the words “Melbourne Website Designers” but instead spaced them out so that it blends in and complements the text.
When you are writing your keyword rich text, I encourage you to do the same. Decide what the page is generally to be about - research to see what phrases people search with to find that topic - and slide those phrases into your text as often as you can (without making the text difficult to read).
Having a page that is written in a keyword rich way is proven to bring more visitors to your site - and much more than if you didn’t research and think about the text you’re writing.
